Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for public school students to and from LifeWise sites. The candidate should be mature, punctual, and maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities include transporting students, adhering to traffic laws, and keeping buses in safe condition. The role may involve classroom volunteering as agreed with the Director.

Qualifications

• Must have mature Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church with aligned doctrine
• Regular driver’s license; CDL may be required for larger vehicles
• Age 21–80; physicians statement for drivers over 75
• Background check and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required
• Drug/alcohol testing as required

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular bus inspections
• Refuel the vehicle as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children
• Enforce safety rules for students
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor
• Be aware of students needing help or who are misbehaving
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with the Director
