Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a clean driving record, a regular license with appropriate endorsements, and alignment with LifeWise beliefs.

The position emphasizes safety, punctuality, and a caring demeanor while ensuring the bus and students are well cared for during travel.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church with aligned doctrine.
• Regular driver’s license; continuous licensed for past 3 years.
• CDL with passenger endorsement for >15 passenger vehicles or no special license for 15-passenger vans.
• Age 21–80; additional docs for drivers over 75.
• Clean driving record in last 5 years; background check.
• Annual Physician’s Statement for known medical conditions; drug/alcohol testing per policy.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to/from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules; assist students entering/exiting.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if approved by Director.
