Job summary

WOODLAND ELEMENTARY in Fairview, Oregon seeks a Cook (6.5 hours) to prepare and serve meals for students and staff under the Food Services Manager. The role includes dishwashing, maintaining sanitary facilities, and supporting nutrition requirements.

The position is part-time, with a school-year schedule, Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day. Requires high school diploma; Oregon fingerprint clearance and a Food Handler Permit are needed. Bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual/Bicultural preferred; prior food prep helpful but not required.
• Oregon Fingerprint and Criminal Check clearance and Food Handler Permit required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves food and beverages to meet nutritional requirements and meal plans.
• Cleans and maintains utensils, equipment, and prep/serving areas to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Prepares documentation and reports to provide written support or convey information.
• Requests food, equipment and supplies to maintain adequate inventory for efficient work.
• Maintains positive relations with students, staff and community to support the district’s food services program.
• Accounts for cash transactions to maintain accurate records.
