Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is responsible and punctual and has a clean driving record.

Responsibilities include transporting children, obeying traffic laws, maintaining bus safety, conducting inspections, and supporting a calm, caring environment. A valid CDL with passenger endorsement, background checks, and drug testing are required.

Qualifications

• CDL driver's license required and continuously licensed for past 3 years.
• Active participation in a local church with doctrine aligned to LifeWise Faith Statement.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years.
• Background check and drug testing required (pre-employment and ongoing).
• Physician's Statement may be required for medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering or exiting the vehicle; stay calm and caring.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and volunteer in classroom when approved.
