Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a part-time Sales Manager in Lima, OH to lead a high-performing selling culture across the store. You will drive sales results, coach staff, and ensure outstanding customer experiences while overseeing front-end operations and in-store programs.

The role requires 3+ years of retail leadership, strong operational execution, and the ability to manage POS systems, BOPIS, and Same Day Delivery. Night, weekend, and early morning shifts are possible.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform light lifting.
• Experience in store operations and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, holding team accountable.
• Model and coach customer experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain store leadership and service standards.
• Ensure effective use of POS and Self-Checkout, supporting smooth transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs and events (Balloons, Loyalty, protection plans, Knit & Sew Shop, BOPIS, Same Day Delivery).
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
