Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead front-end and service operations with a strong focus on customer experience and selling excellence. You will coach the team, ensure SOP compliance, and drive omni-channel results including BOPIS and same-day delivery.

You will oversee events, loyalty enrollment, and protection plan offerings, while maintaining store standards and asset protection. Nights, weekends, and early mornings are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Proven ability to coach teams on customer experience and selling behaviors.
• Strong knowledge of store operations, SOPs, and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end and service operations with a focus on customer experience.
• Coach and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing training.
• Maintain POS operations, Self-Checkout, and omni-channel order fulfillment (BOPIS/Same Day Delivery).
• Promote loyalty programs and protection plan sales to drive retention.
• Oversee events and department programs such as Knit & Sew Shop and framing services.
