Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a part-time Sales Lead at our Pasadena thrift store to enhance customer service and drive donations and sales. You will work closely with the Store Manager on daily store operations, staffing, and performance metrics.

The role emphasizes retail experience, supervisory capability, and strong communication with customers and donors. Background checks are required, with flexible scheduling across evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of one-year previous retail experience and Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Takes an active role with Store Manager in daily store operations (opening/closing, POS, inventory, merchandising, donations).
• Assists Store Manager to monitor and analyze KPIs to drive sales and profitability as per budgets and goals.
• Schedules store staff to ensure coverage and conducts team meetings, provides coaching and development.
• Manages paperwork and Time & Attendance per Review Standards and compliance.
• Ensures high levels of Customer and Donor satisfaction and maintains community relations.
• Supports Back Room Processing and security of currency, inventory and property.
