Job summary

BARNES & NOBLE COLLEGE in Massachusetts is seeking a part-time Supervisor to support the store management, coach team members, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will model strong sales-floor presence and help maintain merchandising, learning store operations while providing excellent service to students and staff.

You will also assist in training daily activities, handle customer issues, and coordinate with management to ensure smooth store function with a flexible weekly

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a retail setting preferred.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Outstanding customer service skills to match customers to products.
• Basic reading, writing and accounting skills required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills needed.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of time on the selling floor coaching and modeling WOW customer service.
• Train and oversee daily work activity of team members in one or more departments.
• Maintain knowledge of store operations; ensure outstanding customer service and proper merchandising.
• Assist with loss prevention procedures and store safety; act as Manager-on Duty when needed.
• Assign work and provide direction to team members to manage multiple projects.
