Job summary

Dollar Tree in Strongsville, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee store operations, customer service and team development. You will supervise associates, maintain displays, and ensure a clean, safe shopping environment while upholding company policies.

You will work with the Store Manager to manage daily tasks, assist customers, and help with inventory and loss prevention. This role is ideal for a motivated leader in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged goods, and handle records.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect assets including store cash and comply with policies.
• Help store manager supervise, train and develop store associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
