Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Streetsboro, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help organize merchandise, supervise associates, and maintain a clean, safe store environment while upholding company policies.

The role requires readiness to perform opening/closing procedures and to handle daily tasks such as payroll, scheduling, and cash handling with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, kneeling, climbing).
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash handling
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect store assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Maintain cleanliness of store areas including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
