Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Appleton, WI is hiring for a part-time plasma donor screener who will also perform phlebotomy to support center operations. The role includes variability in shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a focus on donor safety and quality.

You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and participate in a paid interactive training program. Qualifications include a high school diploma and the ability to stand for extended periods, with potential lifting up to 50 lbs and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
• 1+ years minimum experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors and focus on donors while ensuring donor and team safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
