Job summary

BioLife (a Takeda company) is seeking a part-time Plasma Donor Screener to support center operations. You will greet donors, screen donors, record vitals, and manage donor charts and compensation. You will contribute to patient-focused plasma collection and maintain high quality service.

Shifts are 4 to 6 hours per day, 3 or more days per week, with evenings, weekends, and holidays required. A high school diploma and comfort with bloodborne pathogens are expected; prior customer-facing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear.
• 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and answer phones while ensuring donor safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vitals and finger stick results.
• Prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for center process improvements and initiate changes per procedures.
• Work varying shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
