Job summary

BWH Plant Co is a digital garden center hiring a part-time Customer Support Associate. You will handle email, chat, and social inquiries, answer product questions, assist with plant care, update orders, and resolve delivery issues.

As one of two day-to-day contacts, you will help improve workflows with a proactive mindset while training occurs locally in the Orlando area. This role supports remote work and requires startup experience and familiarity with common customer platforms.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of online customer support experience (email, chat, or social).
• Basic houseplant and plant-care knowledge.
• Proficiency with computers and quick information retrieval.
• Reside in the Orlando area for training and occasional in-person meetings.
• Experience at a growing startup or small business.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Gorgias, Zendesk, Freshdesk.
• Experience with Shopify, Slack, GSuite, and Shipstation.

Responsibilities

• Provide thoughtful, solution-oriented support across email, chat, social media, and review platforms
• Accurately document order issues and submit shipping claims
• Develop and maintain strong product and plant knowledge
• Support communication with B2B accounts
• Help update and create customer-facing help articles and internal documentation
• Support other projects as needed
