McLaren Health Care is seeking a Laboratory Technical Assistant (Phlebotomist) to perform specimen collection by phlebotomy at in-house or off-site locations. You will also enter patient data into hospital information systems and assist in various laboratory areas under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma, phlebotomy technician certification preferred, and experience in clinical laboratories. Schedule is part-time with daily early shifts and ABN compliance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preference for phlebotomy technician certification.
• Preference for experience drawing blood or phlebotomy training.
• Preference for experience in a clinical laboratory.

Responsabilités

• Performs specimen collection by phlebotomy and handles specimens per standards.
• Enter patient data and test orders into LIS/HIS with ABN compliance.
• Process specimens according to established guidelines.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and follow infection-control policies.
• Perform waived tests and assist on other testing platforms.
• Support quality control and performance improvement activities.
• Guide new staff onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Answer calls, manage records, and report test results.
• Dispatch and manage specimens and slides for referrals.
• Perform other related duties as required.
