Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy technician certification.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen collection by phlebotomy from the correct patient and prepares specimens for analysis.
• Transcribes patient registration data and test orders into hospital systems.
• Handles sample processing according to established guidelines and maintains safety standards.
• Performs waived tests and assists in other testing platforms under supervision.
• Participates in quality control and performance improvement activities.
• Maintains clean, infection-controlled work area.
