Responsibilities

• Perform all specimen collection by phlebotomy from the correct individual at in-house or off-site locations.
• Obtain other specimens when indicated.
• Instruct patients in the collection of specimens as necessary.
• Enter pathology specimens into various computerized information systems.
• Prepare and stain cytology specimens as needed.
