Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Michigan is seeking a part-time phlebotomy and donor screening assistant for 4–6 hour shifts, 3+ days per week. Reliable attendance is essential, with scheduling confirmed early in the interview process.

You will greet donors, screen new and repeat donors, record vital signs, and use the Donor Information System to maintain donor charts and compensation records. Weekend/holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Lift to 5 lb, occasional lifts up to 32 lb, rarely 50 lb.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from distance.
• Experience handling exposure to bloodborne pathogens with prolonged glove wear.
• Minimum 1 year of customer or patient-facing experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and ensure donor safety.
• Screen donors and record vital signs and finger-stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company-approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
