Job summary

CSL Plasma in Dayton, OH is hiring a Part Time Donor Support Technician to prep the donor area and equipment for pheresis, monitor the process, and respond to alarms. You will disconnect donors when complete and document incidents in the PDA, linking equipment to donors and maintaining data accuracy per SOPs.

Role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 3 months in a medical setting or similar; basic math skills are needed and bilingual abilities may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Use PDA to record incidents, alarms, volume variances and donor adverse events.
• Link equipment and soft goods to the appropriate donor in the PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• Follow all HSE and OSHA policies and procedures and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed; bilingual skills may be required.
