Donor Support Technician – Pheresis Operations

Job summary

CSL Plasma in Lansing, MI is seeking a part-time Donor Support Technician to assist during pheresis procedures. You will prepare donor areas, equipment, and monitor the process to ensure safety and accurate recording of donor data.

Responsibilities include using the PDA to log incidents, linking equipment to donors, maintaining supplies, and following SOPs, HSE and OSHA policies. Bilingual skills may be required to meet center needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Record incidents in the PDA and link equipment to the donor.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the donor information system per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
