Job summary

Capitol Imaging Services, LLC is seeking a compassionate Patient Coordinator to join our imaging facility team. You will manage patient scheduling, verify insurance, and ensure smooth check-in and follow-up care, delivering empathetic, detail-oriented support from appointment through visit completion.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in healthcare, familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA, and EMR systems, and strong communication and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in a healthcare or medical office setting, preferably in radiology or imaging services.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance processes, and HIPAA regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in scheduling software and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule imaging appointments, ensuring optimal use of facility resources and timely patient care.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments; communicate coverage details to patients as needed.
• Monitor the schedule daily to identify cancellations and proactively backfill open slots to maintain efficiency.
• Serve as the first point of contact for patients—answering calls, responding to inquiries, and providing clear, empathetic guidance.
• Accurately input patient information into the EMR system and maintain up-to-date records.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow and coordination.
• Provide a warm, welcoming environment for patients and their families, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism.
