Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum unit is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator in Seattle to support scheduling, insurance verification, and patient intake. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring accurate records and smooth referrals in a compliant environment.

This 20-hour/week role requires teamwork, empathy, and strong computer skills. The schedule spans two 8-hour shifts and a 4-hour shift, with hours set by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a medical office performing scheduling, check-in/out, insurance verification.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and multiple web applications.
• Willing to cover other offices when needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide guidance in person or by phone.
• Verify insurance and collect required signatures.
• Maintain and file medical records in the EPIC system.
• Coordinate patient and referral appointments per guidelines.
• Communicate with care team to support service goals.
