Optum NY/NJ is seeking a friendly Part-Time Associate Patient Care Coordinator in Wantagh, NY. You will greet patients, register them, schedule appointments and support the care team while upholding Lean processes.

The role requires 1+ year in customer service or healthcare, a High School Diploma or GED, and Epic experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. This on-site role includes benefits and a 20.5-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of computer proficiency experience (be able to work with multiple monitors at one time).
• 1+ years of customer service or Healthcare related experience.
• Ability to travel to other offices if needed for coverage.
• Ability to abide by the code of conduct per Optum/UHG.
• Ability to be cross trained as a medical assistant.

Responsabilités

• Greets patients, family members and guests with a friendly smile.
• Assists patients with signing in and completing registration.
• Schedule appointments for new or established patients.
• Follow the payment Security policy and procedures according to Optum Medical guidelines.
• Answers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner; directs calls and takes messages.
• Obtain referrals and coordinate follow-up care for patients.
