Optum NY/NJ is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator in Forest Hills, NY to support the care team and deliver excellent patient service. The role includes scheduling, intake, insurance verification, and maintaining medical records, with a 37.5-hour week and weekend rotation.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of computer and/or healthcare experience. Travel to other offices may be required, and a flexible schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of computer proficiency experience (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• 1+ years of customer service or healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Obtain accurate patient information and insurance details.
• Perform insurance verification on the date of service.
• Check in and check out patients.
• Schedule appointments in an organized and efficient manner.
• Obtain patient signatures for required documents.
• File and maintain medical records.
• Follow the Payment Security policy and procedures per Optum guidelines.
• Travels to other offices if needed.
• Cross-train and assist in other locations as needed.
