Advocate Health, in collaboration with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, is seeking a part-time patient registration specialist to pre-register patients, verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and coordinate scheduling with departments.

This role requires accuracy, strong communication, and the ability to manage changes in a fast-paced healthcare environment; it includes varied schedules and potential shifts.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience in patient registration and hospital billing preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Registers or pre-registers all scheduled patients for admission, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services.
• Verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorization for services requiring authorization or pre-certification.
• Coordinates with patients and scheduling departments to reschedule procedures until authorization or payment can be arranged.
