Advocate Health is seeking a part-time front desk/registration specialist in Vernon Hills with 20 hours per week. You will handle patient check-in, verify demographics/insurance, collect co-pays, and ensure accurate data entry in the EPIC system while upholding HIPAA and privacy standards.

Shifts include 8-hour blocks in Vernon Hills on Tue/Sat/Sun and a 10-hour shift in Gurnee on Wednesdays, offering a structured schedule with a strong emphasis on patient service and accuracy.

Formación

• High School Graduate required.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Understanding of HIPAA, EMTALA, and patient privacy requirements.
• Experience with EPIC EMR and insurance verification tools preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Create initial electronic health records ensuring no duplicates and accurate patient data.
• Register patients, collect demographic/insurance info, and collect co-pays.
• Explain insurance coverage and financial responsibilities to patients; refer to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist with scheduling and test instructions.
