Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part‑Time Patient Service Representative in Milwaukee, WI for the 0.6 FTE 24‑hour weekly schedule (3rd shift, 2300–0730) with every 4th weekend and holiday rotation.

As the first point of contact, you will capture patient demographics, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and support billing workflows while upholding HIPAA and customer service standards. You’ll collaborate with care teams to ensure smooth patient experiences and accurate data in EPIC.

Qualifications

• High School graduate with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient data privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Register and check-in patients, verify demographics, guarantor and insurance details.
• Collect co-pays and ensure accurate data for timely billing and patient records.
• Explain insurance coverage to patients and refer to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive information.
