Job summary

R1 RCM Inc is seeking a Part Time Patient Registration Representative at Ascension Seton Cedar Park to support patient check-in and registration across several systems. The role requires a PRN schedule with a minimum 48 hours per month and on-call coverage, focusing on compassionate patient interactions, accuracy, and efficiency.

You will handle phone inquiries, collect demographics and co-pays, verify insurance details, and collaborate with care teams to minimize delays and improve patient

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service experience, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize quickly with high attention to detail.
• Experience with patient access, medical registration, insurance verification, or front desk is a plus (but not required )
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to pass background check, drug test, and meet vaccination requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients with check-in across multiple systems.
• Answer phones and gather accurate patient information quickly.
• Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details, enter demographics and medical data, collect co-pays and provide cost estimates when applicable.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing phone calls and computer-based check-ins with accuracy and efficiency.
