Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Quakertown, PA is seeking an ED Patient Access Representative for the night shift. This role handles patient registration, insurance verification and pre/post-registration processes across outpatient and Emergency Department settings.

You will greet patients, assist with MyChart and patient self-service tools, and coordinate with clinical and revenue cycle teams to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly.
• Insurance background preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and pre-reg/post-reg needs including demographics, insurance verification, and admissions data.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required referrals/pre-certifications to minimize denials.
• Assist patients with MyChart and self-service tools, and greet visitors with courteous service.
• Coordinate with clinical departments and revenue cycle to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
