Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a part-time Patient Access Specialist to assist patients, providers, and staff with accessing services and resolving navigation questions. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support or other related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a concierge greeting patients or visitors.
• Answers practice phone calls and schedules patient appointments per decision tree.
• Registers patients and checks in/out, verifies demographics and insurance information.
• Uploads documents into EPIC and scans EMR/EHR records.
• Participates in safety initiatives and completes required safety competencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
