Job summary

Corewell Health’s YMCA site in Grandville, MI seeks a Patient Services Representative for a full-time role. You will register patients, provide concierge and clerical support, and coordinate appointments, referrals, and medical records reviews.

The role requires 2 years of related experience and a high school diploma, with a daytime schedule 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Join a team focused on compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in treatment rooms and solve complex patient/customer issues.
• Assist with patient check-out and scheduling of appointments, referrals, in-office procedures, surgeries and tests; review medical records for referrals.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and support appeals if needed.
• Handle EMR/EHR scanning and Right Fax uploading to EPIC.
• Assist with training new team members using standard work.
• Serve as Patient Services Representative or Associate when needed.
• Participate in safety initiatives and complete required competencies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
