Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Staff Nurse for our Outpatient Pulmonary department, onsite in Akron with occasional coverage in Warren. The role requires 24 hours per week, primarily weekday daytime hours, with no weekends/holidays.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN, active Ohio RN license (MSL), BLS, and within 1 year PALS and ACLS certifications. Prior healthcare experience and EPIC proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN is required or must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
• BLS certification is required; PALS and ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• Current Ohio RN license (MSL) is required within 90 days for certain duties.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience: None.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care with family-centered focus.
• Provide care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational and safety needs.

• Deliver patient-centered care.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety duties.

• Staff may be reassigned within Akron Children's Hospital as needed.
