Job summary

Affinity Eye Care is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit, and dispense eyewear with accuracy.

Responsibilities include taking accurate measurements, interpreting prescriptions, entering data into EHR/ALE, and maintaining knowledge of products, warranties, and insurance coverage. This is a part-time/Full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year experience as an optician preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with HIPAA requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories to fit prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Take and confirm measurements, interpret prescriptions and enter data into EHR and ALE systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service and clearly explain product recommendations.
• Stay current on products, rebates, lens types, coatings, and frame options.
• Enter prescription information accurately and follow up on orders, updating patients on status and delays.
