Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to assist in a clinical setting. You will greet patients, explain the visit, escort them to exam rooms, and perform pre-exam tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include accurately documenting information in the EMR, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with minor procedures, medications administration, and post-operative instructions while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle required.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain appointment processes.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and perform pre-exam ophthalmic tests.
• Document patient information accurately in EMR per standards.
• Assist with minor procedures and laser treatments in clinical rooms.
• Educate patients on medications and pre/post operative instructions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
