Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager in a role overseeing daily operations and financial functions at a housing community. You will manage rent collections, supervise onsite staff, and ensure compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.

The position emphasizes on-site leadership, leasing, maintenance oversight, and efficient administrative management to maximize cash flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years housing industry experience or related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Financial Management: post payments, reconcile receivables, monitor bad debt, help meet budgeted revenues and NOI, post charges, end-of-month closing, maintain records, process move-out charges.
• Personnel Management: supervise onsite staff, hire/train/coaching, ensure compliance with policies, implement leasing strategies and marketing plans, address resident concerns, develop retention programs, show/lease/move-in prospective residents.
• Administrative Management: ensure customer service, monitor maintenance responsiveness, supervise business functions, plan resources and bids from vendors.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent
