Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care
  • Ability to work under highly stressful, crisis-oriented situations
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Outstanding empathetic and listening skills
  • Professional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate on a team
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Complete trainings for funding requirements and knowledge building
  • Must be a minimum age of 18.

Responsibilities

  • Provides crisis intervention services to primary and secondary survivors, focusing on partner/sexual violence and stalking.
  • Provides in-person advocacy and connects clients with Ion Center services during hospital visits.
  • Responds to dispatch; meets victim-survivors within 30 minutes of dispatch.
  • Collaborates with community partners to support victims and educate on relevant topics.
  • Coordinates immediate transportation and housing assistance as needed.
  • Attends related trainings and contributes to a trauma-informed agency environment.
