Job summary

The Ion Center For Violence Prevention in Kentucky is seeking a Crisis Intervention Specialist (Non-Residential). This full-time, negotiable position focuses on helping victim-survivors in Northern Kentucky counties including Grant, Owen, Carroll, Gallatin, and Pendleton.

The role involves crisis intervention, case management, group sessions, court accompaniment, and hotline support to ensure safety and access to resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care.
  • Ability to work under highly stressful, crisis-oriented situations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be a minimum age of 18.

Responsibilities

  • Field crisis hotline calls, texts, and chat; assess client needs and connect with resources.
  • Provide trauma-informed individual, family, or group counseling; help clients set goals.
  • Support clients through legal processes; accompany to court and assist with protections.
  • Maintain client files, attend trainings, report stats, and support donations.
  • Collaborate with community partners and agencies to coordinate services.
