Job summary

The Ion Center for Violence Prevention seeks compassionate individuals for the On-Call Hospital Response Team Member role in Northern Kentucky. This on-call, part-time position travels to area hospitals to meet victim-survivors, provides crisis intervention, and connects clients with Ion Center services while ensuring privacy and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care.
• Ability to work under highly stressful, crisis-oriented situations.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
• Outstanding empathetic and listening skills.
• Professional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate on a team.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Complete trainings for funding requirements and knowledge building.
• Must be a minimum age of 18.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention services to primary and secondary survivors of crime with focus on partner violence, sexual violence, and stalking.
• Offer in-person advocacy and connect clients with Ion Center services while in hospitals.
• Meet victim-survivors within 30 minutes of dispatch and coordinate transportation/housing as needed.
• Collaborate with community partners and participate in trainings.
• Maintain trauma-informed, confidential service delivery.
