Job summary

Oasis Therapy Services in Minnesota is seeking a Part-time Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitation services in our facility. The OT will evaluate residents, implement treatment plans, and supervise COTAs to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as an occupational therapist.
• Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy.
• Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools (e.g. Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale).
• Valid license to practice occupational therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality Occupational therapy services and initiate referrals as appropriate.
• Evaluate residents to obtain data for treatment planning and implementation.
• Supervise and direct COTAs in treatment plan implementation.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in ADLs and IADLs.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
• Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
• Observe, note, and report progress of long and short term goals.

Part-time Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Responsibilities

• To provide quality Occupational therapy services and initiates referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards.
• To evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation and conduct specialized evaluations as indicated.
• To supervise and direct Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in the implementation of the treatment plan.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
• Guide and educate family members and caregivers
• Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
