Job summary

Oasis Therapy Services, a skilled nursing facility, is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitation services at one location.

You will evaluate residents, supervise COTAs, and implement therapy plans to improve ADLs and IADL performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum demonstrated experience as an occupational therapist in a clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of ADL/IADL assessment tools and therapy techniques.
• Current OT license and appropriate state credentials required.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or higher.
• Ability to supervise COTAs and collaborate with care teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality OT services per standards and productivity guidelines.
• Evaluate residents to gather data for treatment planning and implement plans.
• Supervise and direct COTAs in treatment plan execution.
• Apply interventions to maximize independence in ADLs and IADLs.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train staff and patients in use.
• Educate family members and caregivers on therapy goals and home programs.
• Observe and document progress toward long- and short-term goals.

Skills

Proven working experience as OT

Excellent knowledge of OT principles

Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools

Valid OT license

BS degree in Occupational Therapy

Education

Position: PRN Occupational Therapist

Oasis Therapy Services a skilled nursing facility, is now hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitation services in one or more of our service locations!

Primary Job Responsibilities

• To provide quality Occupational therapy services and initiates referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards.
• To evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation and conduct specialized evaluations as indicated.
• To supervise and direct Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in the implementation of the treatment plan.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
• Guide and educate family members and caregivers
• Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals

Skills

• Proven working experience as occupational therapist
• Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
• Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools (e.g. Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale)
• Valid license to practice occupational therapy
• BS degree or greater in occupational therapy
