Job summary

Oasis Therapy Services in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality therapy to seniors in a hands-on clinic setting. You will evaluate residents, plan treatments, supervise COTAs, and implement ADL/IADL interventions while recommending adaptive equipment as needed.

Candidates must hold a current OT license and have a bachelor’s degree or higher in occupational therapy.

Qualifications

  • Licensed occupational therapist with current OT license.
  • Strong knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy.
  • Experience evaluating activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs (IADLs).
  • Ability to collaborate with team and supervise COTAs as needed.

Responsibilities

  • To provide quality Occupational therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards.
  • To evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation, and to conduct specialized evaluations as indicated.
  • To supervise and direct Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in the implementation of the treatment plan.
  • Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
  • Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
  • Observe, note, and report on progress of long- and short-term treatment goals.

Occupational Therapist (Part-time)

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • To provide quality Occupational therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards.

Skills
  • Proven working experience as occupational therapist
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
  • Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools (e.g., Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale)
  • Valid license to practice occupational therapy
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in occupational therapy
