Qualifications

• Licensed OT with current Wisconsin license.
• Experience providing therapy to seniors in SNF or similar setting.
• Familiar with ADL/IADL assessment tools such as Katz/Lawton.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality OT services and initiate referrals as appropriate.
• Evaluate residents to inform treatment plans.
• Supervise COTAs in implementing treatment plans.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in ADLs/IADLs.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
• Educate family members and caregivers.
• Observe and report progress on goals.

Position: PRN Occupational Therapist

Oasis Therapy Services, a skilled nursing facility, is now hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitation services in one or more of our service locations!

Primary Job Responsibilities

• To provide quality Occupational therapy services and initiates referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards.
• To evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation and conduct specialized evaluations as indicated.
• To supervise and direct Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in the implementation of the treatment plan.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
• Guide and educate family members and caregivers
• Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals

Skills

• Proven working experience as occupational therapist
• Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
• Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools (e.g. Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale)
• Valid license to practice occupational therapy
• BS degree or greater in occupational therapy
