Job summary

Oasis Therapy Services in Madison, WI is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitation services at one location. You will deliver high-quality OT, evaluate residents, and develop individualized treatment plans to promote independence.

The role includes supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, advising families, and recommending adaptive equipment to improve ADLs and IADLs, with a patient-centered approach and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as occupational therapist.
• Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy.
• Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools (e.g., Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale).
• Valid license to practice occupational therapy.
• BS degree or greater in occupational therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality occupational therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards.
• Evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation and conduct specialized evaluations as indicated.
• Supervise and direct Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in the implementation of the treatment plan.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
• Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
• Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals.
