Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in the Lehigh Valley region is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in an acute care setting.

As part of the PT/OT/SLP team, you will develop and adjust plans of care, perform evidence-based therapies, and educate patients and families to maximize independence.

This 20-hour-per-week, on-site role emphasizes compassionate care, collaboration with physicians and staff, and adherence to department guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Less than 1 year clinical experiences as required by program.
• Demonstrates sound clinical reasoning and communication with patients and team.
• Licensed OT in Pennsylvania Upon Hire; BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and implements appropriate occupational therapy plans of care to restore function and prevent disability.
• Implements an individualized treatment plan using therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, mobility training, ADLs, splinting/ DME.
• Communicates patient progress to supervisor and other team members; ensures documentation meets policy.
• Provides supervision in accordance with regulatory requirements as appropriate.
