Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Part-Time Night shift Patient Care Technician (PCA) to support bedside care and safety in a fast-paced hospital environment. You will assist with meals, baths, walking, and comfort, while helping the bedside RN with vital signs and assessing patient needs.

The role requires current BLS, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with care. Tuition reimbursement and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
• Knowledge of patient care appropriate to age and development.
• Ability to read basic math and perform measurements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, meals, mobility).
• Obtain vital signs and report abnormalities to nurse.
• Maintain patient safety using gait belts and bed alarms.
• Provide comfort and linen changes as needed.
