Job summary

Indiana University Health in Indianapolis seeks a Full-Time Night Patient Care Technician (PCA) to support bedside care by helping with meals, fluids, mobility, baths, and fresh linens, always maintaining patient safety.

Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA or completion of IU Health PCA education program.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate care procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assistance to the bedside RN by obtaining vital signs and reporting abnormalities.
• Assist with meals, drinking, and walking to promote patient comfort and recovery.
• Assist with activities of daily living including baths, linens, and gown changes.
• Maintain patient safety using gait belts and bed/chair alarms, staying within arm's reach when moving.
• Demonstrate compassionate bedside manner in a fast-paced environment.
