Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCA) for a full-time night shift to provide compassionate bedside support and assist with meals, mobility, baths, and linens. The PCA works with the bedside RN to monitor patients and report any changes promptly.

Qualified candidates will have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Includes knowledge of safety procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Demonstrates ability to adapt to unit-specific patient care policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist bedside RN with vital signs and report abnormalities.
• Provide bedside care including meals, hydration, baths, and linen changes.
• Utilize gait belts and alarms to keep patients safe and within reach.
• Maintain safety, organization, and cleanliness in patient areas.
