Job summary

Hearing Screening Associates is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screening Technician (PT) in Shreveport, LA, working in a NICU setting with alternation of weekends and 1–2 weekdays. Hourly pay is $16 with a $1 weekend differential.

The role includes extensive training and hands-on experience in newborn hearing screening procedures. Responsibilities include conducting screenings, coordinating post-discharge follow-ups as needed, and working with hospital staff to educate families about the importance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year healthcare or childcare training/experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct newborn hearing screenings for infants in well-baby and NICU units before discharge.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, patients, and parents to explain the importance of screening.
• Analyze and communicate responses to screening issues per company and hospital needs.
• Maintain and operate hearing screening equipment and assist with data entry and database management.
• Interact with hospital departments while following POLICIES and procedures of HSA and partner hospitals.
• Complete training with HSA/hospital and gain knowledge of instrumentation used in screening tests.
