Job summary

Hearing Screening Associates is seeking a part-time Newborn Hearing Screening Technician to screen newborns at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO. The role supports NICU/well-baby units, with 2-3 weekday shifts and alternating weekends, 8 AM start, typically 2–3 hours per shift, totaling about 6–10 hours weekly.

Training is provided, and compensation is $17.50 per hour with a $1.00 weekend differential for eligible shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Healthcare or childcare experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and operate screening equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct newborn hearing screenings in well baby and NICU units prior to discharge.
• Coordinate with nursing staff, patients, and parents to explain screening relevance.
• Analyze and communicate responses to issues per company and hospital needs.
• Maintain and use hearing screening equipment and assist with data entry.
• Interact with hospital departments; follow policies and procedures.
• Adhere to code of conduct and compliance policies.
• Complete training with knowledge of TEOAE and/or AABR technology.
