Job summary

Hearing Screening Associates LLC is seeking a part-time Newborn Hearing Screening Technician to perform newborn hearing screenings in NICU and well-baby units at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview and Christus Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler.

This role involves educating parents, recording results, operating screening equipment, and collaborating with nursing staff. Shifts start at 8 AM with 4–8 hours, weekends included, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year healthcare or childcare training/experience is a plus.
• Possess basic computer skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and operate hearing screening equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct newborn hearing screenings in well baby and NICU units prior to discharge.
• Educate parents on the relevance of screening and early intervention.
• Record patient information and screening results accurately.
• Maintain and operate screening equipment and assist with data entry.
