Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division's Kroc Center in South Bend is hiring a Welcome Desk Associate to deliver outstanding customer service. You will assist members, answer questions, process memberships, and help create a warm environment for all guests.

Starting pay is $12.00 per hour for 19 hours per week, with an early morning shift from 5:15 AM to 10:00 AM. The role requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and a commitment to The Salvation Army mission.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required; results reviewed.
• 1–2 years of customer service and cash handling experience.
• Valid driver’s license; Safe From Harm training and CPR within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide world class customer service and build relationships to support membership retention.
• Perform POS transactions at the Welcome Desk.
• Be an ambassador for the Kroc Center by giving tours and promoting memberships.
• Maintain knowledge of programs and facilities.
• Enter membership information accurately and timely.
• Follow policies and procedures for the Welcome Desk and POS system.
• Other tasks as assigned by leadership.
